After 100 years, Chesterfield High has lot of history.
So does its students.
Chesterfield High School Alumni Association is seeking submissions to compile an affordable pictorial history of its alma mater throughout its 100 years from the student point of view.
Chesterfield High Through the Years: A Visual History of a Century of Excellence is an ongoing project that chronicles school life as far back as its students can remember.
Dig through scrapbooks, shoeboxes and photo albums for pictures and memorabilia suitable for publication.
Candid photos are being sought — digital or high-quality print copies are being sought. Keep your originals safe.
Submissions must include a description and identification of what is taking place in the photo.
Also being sought are Chesterfield High memorabilia such as programs, school newspapers, logos, printed sports material or items that can be photographed or scanned for reproduction.
Exceptions can be made for rare, fragile and bulky items.
Also, graduates with anecdotal stories about student life at Chesterfield High can submit their tales to CHSAA, P.O. Box 455, Chesterfield SC 29709 or e-mail at mail@chesterfieldhighalumni.com.
The purpose of Chesterfield High Alumni Association is to provide grants and scholarships and networking opportunities online and through an annual newsletter.
Members will be recognized for their contributions through advertisement in Chesterfield High event publications and yearbook. Money raised to date has provided a fireworks display celebrating 100 years of Chesterfield schools and student scholarships.
Chesterfield High School Alumni Association is a non-profit, 501(C)3 approved organization established as an umbrella organization for all CHS graduates along with those who received diplomas from Ruby, Gary, Pine Grove, Shiloh, Wamble Hill, Wexford and Zoar schools.
